AUTO CHOKES

About

Unlike other chokes in the industry, our Auto Chokes monitor mud line, casing and manifold pressure devices, removing interactions between the driller and the choke. The innovative design of the Iron Horse Auto Chokes provides increased efficiency and accuracy, enhancing overall performance. The auto choke system can run up to three chokes simultaneously or in various standby positions to handle plugging events and high flow situations.

Gas Buster Level Sensor

  • If the rig is interested in this, they will need to install a 6" pipe running top to bottom on the exterior of the buster with openings to buster at the bottom, middle and top of the buster. Our radar sensor is then installed on top of the pipe and sends the level of the fluid to the touchscreen and rig system via WITS. Alarms will sound on touchscreen and the rig system at the level they enter. 

Liquid Catch Can Alarm

  • This notifies the rig on the touchscreen and the rig system that the catch can is filling up. This works in conjunction with the alarm mounted on the catch can. 

FLOW METER

About

Iron Horse Tools uses a wedge flow meter system mounted downstream of the choke to record the return flow rate. This system sends the return flow rate to the PLC which is then compared to the upstream flow rate which is sent to the PLC from the rig data system via WITS.

Product Features

The PLC calculates the difference and displays the actual GPM plus or minus on the touchscreen. The Flow Meter enables the rig to have real-time notification of gains or losses in drilling fluid to help determine if a kick is coming or the rig is losing drilling fluid to a void in the formation. 
 

Safety Features

The driller can set an alarm to be notified if the gains or losses reach a determined value.

SUPER CHOKE

About

The Iron Horse Super Choke utilizes the Gantry System to make trim changes fast and easy. This product can be added to a choke, mounted vertically or horizontally, without any modification to choke or gantry. It also allows for safer trim changes when the choke is elevated.
