Panther RCD
About
Designed for ease of use and reliability in managed pressure operations, the Panther RCD targets the Permian Basin and other shale drilling markets, emphasizing simplicity while maintaining competitive rental rates. With a low overall height of 38 ¾”, the Panther is designed to fit under all MDP rigs. Its field-proven remote clamping system combines a revolutionary seal and remote clamp with a clamp-on-bearing design. The internal lubricant reservoir allows for extended operations, while also eliminating the need for external seal oil pumps, hoses and complications.
Product Features
- The shortest MPD head on the market with a 13 ⅝-5K inlet.
- Smaller, lower capacity bearings.
- Adapts to any drill pipe.
- Does not require connective hoses.
- Internal seal/lube oil reservoir.
- Internal seal balancing capabilities.
- Self-contained bearing lubrication.
Safety Features
- The fail-safe remotely operated clamping system does not require a worker below the rig floor when changing seal elements.
- High static pressure rating abilities for emergency conditions.
IRON HORSE - 2 & 5
About
The Iron Horse-5 is our high-pressure RCD, reaching a static pressure rating up to 5,000 PSI. The Iron Horse-2 is our medium-pressure RCD, achieving a static pressure rating of 2,000 PSI. Researched and developed with over 100 years of combined RCD industry experience, the Iron Horse 5 and 2 RCDs are interchangeable heads compatible for MPD, underbalanced, geothermal and H2S environments. Designed specifically for riser use in offshore applications and challenging land well control situations, the Iron Horse RCDs provide enhanced reliability for critical operations. Used in offshore and onshore drilling applications, our RCDs are in the process of becoming one of the only API monogrammed RCDs available in the market.
Product Features
- No personnel is needed under the rig floor during operations.
- The interlock system prevents the clamp from opening while under pressure.
- Fail-safe clamping system will not open with loss of hydraulic fluid.
- Pressure on the head can be relieved from the control panel on the rig floor.
